Hi! I’m Linda

I'm from Phnom Penh, and I am an architectural assistant.

Sousdey! I am 22 years old and have spent my whole life in Phnom Penh.

 

In the summer of 2019, while studying for my Bachelor of Architecture, I Interned at the Phnom Penh City Hall and Vann Molyvann project. I remember having the most fun researching and exploring what I can do with my Architecture degree besides CAD and 3D rendering.

 

When I saw the announcement of the Sa Sa Art project on Facebook, I knew that this project was going to fulfill a part of joy that is missing from my corporate job.

Hi! I’m Eric

I'm from Hong Kong, and I am an industrial designer.

Hi! I am studying Industrial Design at the University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia. I will be completing my Bachelor of Industrial Design this year.

 

Changing from Mechanical engineering to Industrial Design, I focus my skills and knowledge on the technical and design side of small parts of products. Knowing my profession has to blend into the system and environment, the internship offers me another form of understanding the user and the world.

 

Throughout the internship, I can engage with different industry professionals and learn industry knowledge outside my profession. It was a fabulous experience working with all the lovely people through the internet!

Hi! I’m Erica

I'm from Singapore, and I am an architecture student.

Hi! I am studying a Masters of Architecture at the University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia. I completed my Diploma of Architecture from Singapore Polytechnic in 2019. 

 

While undertaking my diploma, I had the opportunity to do an internship at DP Architects (Singapore) where I was placed in a project team that primarily focused on developments in South East Asia. During my time there, I was involved in commercial projects in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, and Nha Trang, Vietnam. 

​

I thoroughly enjoyed my internship experience working internationally. When the opportunity to be involved in an interdisciplinary research project in Phnom Penh came up, I couldn't resist the chance!

Hi! I’m Porlin

I'm from Phnom Penh, and I am a freelance architect.

I graduated with a Bachelor's degree of Architecture and Urban Planning from the Royal University of Fine Arts in 2015. After my graduation, I worked at ASIYA Architect Studio for 1 year, and 2 years at ASMA Architect Company. I have been a freelancer in Architecture for the past 3 years.

 

Besides architecture, I also do contemporary art. I used to join several exchange and internship programs, such as JENESYS 2.0 for exchange programs in Japan under the topic "Transitional culture / Heritage / Art 8th batch. Through those programs, I gained knowledge and professional experience from researching and teamwork. I find it very useful for my profession as well as my personal growth.

 

Therefore, I am glad to have a chance to join this professional research program, especially the research topic is related to current problems during this pandemic in my city.
